Voice

Your child will have opportunities to sing songs they know and love, as well as learn other musical styles like Rock, Pop, Jazz and Hip Hop. Your child’s vocal training will include vocal technique, vocal projection, tonal placement, breathing techniques, and vocal performance. We based our curriculum on each child’s unique learning style and music interest. If your child shows interest in singing, a voice lesson is the place to start.

Why should I register my child for music lessons?

1

Improved Cognitive Development

While a child is young, especially ages 5-7, their brain is molded by the new skill sets they learn. Music learning assists in positive cognitive growth such as better memory and motor skills and improved I.Q. tests on standardized state tests.

2

Improved Language Skills

Enhanced language skills have been found in elementary-aged children when learning how to sing in music class. Studies have shown that a large part of the brain’s left hemisphere is being used, which assists in learning new languages.

3

Better Social Skills

Research shows that young children who start music lessons at a younger age develop better social-emotional learning skills. Singing classes promote better self-esteem and greater comradery among family members, friends and classmates.

4

Spatial Intelligence

Outside of the regular school day, children involved in a consistent music program show consistent improvement in the ability to solve multi-step problems in math and computers. Students who read music can solve complex math problems and have increased awareness of spatial-temporal abilities.

5

Better Mental Capacity

Neuroscience demonstrates that children’s brains function more effectively when learning to sing or play a musical instrument.  Since the child uses more brain power, their neurons’ pathways and structure are strengthened.
