Bringing the Joys of Music to Children
It is in learning music that many youthful hearts learn to love. -Matthieu Ricard
Jay’s Music Academy, LLC (JMA) offers beginner Group Piano Classes to children ages 2-13 and private lessons to children ages 7+. The instruments we currently offer are Piano, Guitar and Voice. In addition, students can participate in the JMA Kids Chorus to develop their musical skills through singing, and performing.
We develop music enrichment programs that enhance children’s cognitive and emotional development. We foster a love and appreciation of music that carries into every part of their life. All our students will learn the basics of music theory, sight-reading, chords, transposition, improvisation, changing meters, and musical notes. We keep our students accountable with practice incentives and parent support. We offer music lessons in various settings: in-studio, in-home and in-school.
Every child deserves an opportunity to learn how to play a musical instrument and nurture their musical skills.
Students will participate in a nurturing and motivating learning environment.
Our music curriculum is dynamic and age-appropriate to help children build a solid musical foundation
Studies have shown that music education can positively impact a child’s cognitive development, academic performance, and social-emotional skills.
We are passionate about teaching music and require parents’ engagement in our music learning process! Your participation includes encouraging your child to practice,
creating a distraction-free practice zone in your home, and reviewing/signing your child’s Practice Log Journal at the end of the week.
We also partner with preschools, elementary, and middle schools to create or enhance schools’ vocal, piano, and music appreciation enrichment programs,
offering their students access to much-needed music education during the in-school and/or after-school hours. Click here to learn more about our partnership with schools.
